Dance Classes
I am a passionate dance and fitness instructor with experience teaching children, teens, and adults in a wide range of styles. I have been actively involved in the dance world since the age of two, and I began teaching in 2009. Since then, I’ve taught intermittently over the years, building a well-rounded background in both dance technique and group fitness instruction.
My teaching experience includes children’s dance classes, adult dance and fitness classes, and traditional dance disciplines such as ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, breakdancing and hip hop, as well as adult fitness & dance fitness, including aerial fitness. I strive to create classes that are welcoming, encouraging, and confidence-building, while still offering quality instruction and thoughtful movement. Most importantly, I strive to make the classes FUN!
I am a licensed CanFitPro Fitness Instructor Specialist and carry fitness & dance instructor insurance, ensuring a safe & professional environment for all participants.
Currently, I offer children’s ballet, children’s hip hop, and adult ballet classes and virtual adult dance fitness classes. Details for each class offering and location can be found below:

Baddeck:
Children’s Ballet & Hip Hop
Classes begin Monday February 23rd in Big Baddeck and run for 8 weeks, with a dance recital following.

Children’s Hip Hop & Ballet Classes, Pre-Teen Hip Hop
Classes begin Wednesday February 18th and run for 6 weeks with a dance recital to follow.

Virtual Adult Dance Fitness Classes
I will be offering virtual dance fitness classes for adults on Zoom starting Tuesday March 24th for 6 weeks. You can register for the full term or on a drop-In basis. Last class will be April 28th.

Tuesdays 6-6:45pm:
“DanceFit & Flow” Class
We will do 20 mins of dance based cardio/workout and 20 mins of dance focused stretches to wind down. No experience needed. No equipment needed. Small weights or soup cans can be used for weight training. Use a yoga matt or any blanket to make floor exercises more comfortable. Accessible, fun, pay what you can.
Tuesdays 7-7:45pm:
“Barre Fit” Class
We will do a brief warm up following with a couple ballet inspired barre exercises to work on our pelvic floor & hip strength and mobility, then some cool down stretches. The kitchen counter, or a chair makes a great ballet barre. Accessible, fun, pay what you can.

Charlee is an exceptional dance teacher. She has an energy the kids just vibe with and they learn so much. Charlee is an amazing role model for my daughter who also loves listening to her music.
